Dr. Maxine Fidler, ND, MSAOM, L.Ac., Dipl.O.M.(NCCAOM), believes that true health is about living well, and has a passion for helping people attain optimal health. She received a Bachelors degree in Applied Music from Geneva College in 1994, and a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as well as a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2008.
Her particular areas of expertise are respiratory disorders and other chronic health conditions, including asthma, COPD, arthritis, digestive disorders, fibromyalgia and fatigue. She is passionate about helping people with chronic conditions regain their health and wellness, using multidisciplinary holistic care to help them truly thrive.
Dr. Fidler holds a second degree black belt in the martial art of Tang Soo Do, and is currently studying Moo Gong Do . These Korean martial arts have taught her that health comes from the integration of mind and body. She has additional training in various mind body therapies such as craniosacral therapy, Acutonics® (tuning forks in place of acupuncture needles), EFT® (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and guided imagery.
Dr. Fidler is a visiting professor at Mind Body Medicine University . She is also a writer and speaker, contributing public talks and freelance articles on health and wellness.
In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, martial arts, the outdoors, playing the violin, and singing in the VSO Chorus. She lives in Middlebury with her husband Steven, and their betta fish, Trinket.
